Annual Mission Conference

For the last decade, Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s annual Mission Conference has served as an informative and useful educational activity for members of the Komen Affiliate Network, Komen grant recipients, health care professionals, researchers and concerned citizens.

At the 10th annual conference, more than 1,000 participants from 20 countries attended the 2007 summer event held in Washington, D.C. This conference highlighted the impact of breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs, and the state of breast cancer. It also spotlighted burning questions that remain unanswered. The overwhelming success of this conference is the result of you – our attendees and participants – thank you.

While we recognize the strides this conference has made, Susan G. Komen for the Cure is always evaluating the role of future endeavors. As a result, Komen will not host a Mission Conference in 2008. In keeping with our promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures, new opportunities will be presented in 2009. We thank you for your interest and understanding and for your commitment to finding the cures.
