Don't let her wicked sense of humor and easy going demeanor fool you. Kelly is a woman who gets things done.

It all began on Race Day 2004 as a favor for a friend and staff member of the Affiliate. Since then, Kelly has had her finger on the pulse of the Komen Oregon and SW Washington Affiliate.

She had volunteered for different Komen events prior to joining the Education Committee. Her ability to quickly assess the needs of the Affiliate was remarkable. Within a short period of time, Kelly was voted in to a Board Member position and appointed Education Chair. In 2006, Kelly joined the Community Profile Task Force and was instrumental in producing a needs assessment tool used to identify gaps in breast health and breast cancer services in our large service area.

Kelly says, "Every volunteer position provides different levels of enjoyment. For three years, I have volunteered on Race day, which is such an amazing and powerful experience. I also thoroughly enjoy my work on the Board of Directors and with the Education Committee. Being able to provide strategic direction to help the Affiliate do its job better is a great use of my time and energy." When Kelly says yes - as she often does - she puts her heart and soul into the job. She understands the vision of the Affiliate and uses her leadership skills to empower volunteers to carry out our mission and get the job done.

"I appreciate the work that Komen does for women everywhere. Not only is Komen's promise to find the cure for breast cancer powerful, but more importantly, they champion for the underserved."

Needless to say, our Affiliate is grateful for Kelly's dedication, passion and vision. Her work is invaluable and inspiring, bringing energy and joy to everyone who works with her.
