Bill and Becky Burke moved to the Manchester area in 2003 and immediately-in fact, they'd hardly unpacked-joined the Race for the Cure® Sponsorship Committee as volunteers. One year later, the Burkes took the helm as Sponsor Co-Chairs and have never looked back!

Every year since, under Bill and Becky's watchful eyes, sponsorship has grown. The Burkes have also become an integral part of our committee-and our community-in many more ways than one. They are always there, whenever and wherever they're needed. To the Burkes, there is no job too big, nor task too small, to consider worthy of their help.

Race weekends bring out the very best in Bill and Becky. Whether it's hauling dozens of bagels or solving a sponsor's problem, setting up tables or hanging banners, they get the job done with no fanfare.

It was not easy to choose from the wonderful group of volunteers that makes the Vermont-New Hampshire Race happen each year. Some have been involved for many years, while others are relative new comers to Komen and the Race. Each and every one brings something special to the effort. The Burkes, truth be told, bring all of that, and more.
