Susan G. Komen for the Cure is pleased to partner with Better Homes and Gardens again in 2008.  Better Homes and Gardens’ Pink Plaid Limited Edition Cookbooks have raised more than $675,000 to date for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  The latest release “Celebrating the Promise”, features recipes and anecdotes from celebrity chefs, including Paula Deen, G. Garvin and Sandra Lee. The company will make a guaranteed minimum donation of $250,000 in conjunction with the book, available at bookstores and select retailers.

Better Homes and Gardens’ parent company, Meredith Corporation, will make an additional minimum guaranteed donation of $50,000 through the sale of “Words for the Cure.”  This collection of uplifting thoughts and images is designed to provide comfort and inspiration for breast cancer survivors and co-survivors.

Finally, through its Read for the Cure program, Meredith offers readers the opportunity to subscribe to their favorite magazines in support of breast cancer awareness.  Ten percent of each subscription benefits Komen, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $20,000.
