General Mills' Pink for the Cure

General Mills Logo

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is proud to be the beneficiary of the General Mills’ Pink Together program and in 2008 General Mills furthers their support of Komen through the sponsorship of the Circle of Promise Initiative.

During the month of October, in grocery retailers nationwide, General Mills brands will turn the packaging pink in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Komen for the Cure.  General Mills is contributing to Komen for the Cure in conjunction with the Pink Together program.

General Mills will also donate an additional $1 million in support of local retailer programs supporting Pink Together..
Understanding that one person’s story is another person’s hope, General Mills supports

Pink Together with a social networking strategy and an online community called PinkTogether.com.  This community encourages all of those touched by breast cancer to share their stories of perseverance, challenge, comfort and inspiration.  General Mills will donate $1 to Komen for the first 100,000 profiles created on pinktogether.com, up to $100,000.
