Hallmark Gold Crown Stores

Hallmark logo

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is proud to continue its partnership with Hallmark Gold Crown Stores in 2008 for the annual Cards for the Cure® program.  Each year, Hallmark Gold Crown stores give away thousands of specially designed Hallmark Gold Crown Exclusive Cards for the Cure to spread the message about the importance of early breast cancer detection - and to represent their ongoing commitment to help find a cure.  This year’s card features a message of hope written by Linda Glessner Alley, Hallmark editorial director and breast cancer survivor. The ten butterflies on the cover, chosen by Hallmark artist and breast cancer survivor, Jeanne Rittmueller, celebrate both Hallmark’s ten year partnership with Komen and the immeasurable strength survivors share.  Along with the specially designed cards, pre-addressed Customer Donation envelopes are available at no charge to those who wish to contribute to the cause.

In addition, Hallmark will create and sell the following items through Hallmark Gold Crown Store locations:

  • The Everyday Card, available February 15 through the end of 2008, with 10 percent from the sale of each card to be donated to Komen.
  • The music CD, Hope…Songs to Celebrate Life featuring original artists will be available to buy with each purchase of three Hallmark cards, $1 from the sale of each CD will be donated to Komen.
  • The book, “THE SPIRIT OF HOPE” will be available with 10 percent from the sale to be donated to Komen.
  • The Keepsake Ornament, “True Beauty”, returns with $2 from the sale of each ornament being donated to Komen.

Through these promotions, Hallmark will make a minimum guaranteed donation of $200,000.
